Analysis of Covariance ( commonly known as ANCOVA ) is a technique that falls somewhere between analysis of variance and regression analysis. The main purpose of the analysis of covariance (Ancova) is to increase the accuracy (adjustment) of the comparison between the treatment means by including a companion variable (this accompaniment variable is considered to affect the diversity of responses so that the influence of this variable must be removed).
